Description
I recently acquired a substantial number of turquoise and malachite cabochons as well as some faceted tourmaline, amethyst, citrine and ametrine from a patient who has given up his jewelry making at the age of 87. This generous fellow also gave me most of the tools of his trade, including all I need to start doing silver casting via lost wax method (like I need another hobby) and an awesome array of polishing discs, rouge and wheels.
This freeform choker style necklace features one of John's turquoise gems wrapped in 18g square and half round copper wire. I think I will allow the patina to darken and warm up a bit before I consider sealing the wire. What do you think?
EDIT: SOLD 02/2013!

Holy cow! You're back with a vengeance!
I like the idea of letting it darken a bit before sealing it. You can always give it a quick polish to bring out the highlights first. How do you seal your copper? I've not had much luck with that.
